Identifying determinants of specificity and affinity in protein-ligand and protein-protein interactions is central to the development of robust and reliable biological circuits and devices, such as synthetic metabolic networks, biosensors, and signaling pathways. In this talk, we present large-scale machine learning-based approaches to identifying descriptors in the chemical, sequence, and structure space of biological networks playing a role modulating protein interactions.
